Find me on:

2015_Big_Logo.jpgEcclesiastes 3:1 says, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven."

With the dog days of summer on us here in Dallas, Pam and I were talking just yesterday about how ready we are for the fall.  It's time for a change.  That's the nature of everything in creation.  That's the rhythm of life that is built into all of us.

Churchteams is changing all the time.  I periodically write about those changes and upgrades in this blog.  But, the change I'm writing about this time is a change in the direction / content of this blog itself.  For many years, I would post thoughts about using Churchteams and new releases on this blog.  I would have 2 blogs one week and the next one would be a couple of months later.  So, on the advice of our marketing contractor we decided in early 2014 to become more consistent and hired a long time friend, Alan Danielson, to moonlight with us to get our blog and social media established on a consistent basis.  Alan has done a great job helping us.  He wrote a lot of original content and used content from other friends and leaders in various fields of ministry.  He established the systems necessary to build a consistent blog and, frankly, helped me see how it's done.

All along, I knew that I should probably eventually come back to the blog and begin writing consistently not only about Churchteams features, but also about the thinking behind what we do, what we are learning from other churches, and anything else that we struggle with in building a business that is really more a ministry.  Well, that time has come.  Alan called last week and let me know that he needs to consolidate his life for sake of normalcy and to care for his priorities as a husband, dad and senior pastor.  Thank you, Alan.  You have served us well.  Well done.

So, for this next season, the reader of this blog is going to get a look into the heart of Churchteams.  I'll try to be as authentic as possible in sharing what we've learned and are struggling with.  Scripture will be often woven in because it really is the guide for how we think and do life.  You'll hear some our victories as well as struggles as we do ministry, business, and life together.  So, come along, a new season is here.
