favoriteWhat is your favorite resource on the Internet?  YouVersion Bible?  A YouTube Channel? Right Now Media? The Bible Project? Sermon Archives? A Blog Post?  Imagine people sending a text to your church office number with a keyword of your choosing that would take them directly to that website? The LINK functionality of Text-to-Church does exactly that.

A few years ago I found Random.org/dice and started using it in training to have participants electronically throw a set of dice to determine a gift card winner.  I decided to add that URL and the keyword DICE as a Text-to-Church option at a church I was doing training with just last week.

dice1The dice game, Farkle, has a long cultural tradition with this team, so I showed them how to add the random.org/dice link  to Text-to-Church.  Then, I had them all text the word DICE to their landline number.  They got a link back that they clicked on and chose the option to roll 5 dice.  After three rounds the winner got a $25 Starbucks gift card.

Application of this feature is limited only to your imagination and resources available on the Internet.  Try it.
