The Member App was created to make it simple for members to manage their giving, serving, groups, events, and resources—all from their phones. At the same time, we know that some people may find it more convenient to access these features on a computer, laptop, or tablet.
Because phone operating systems are different than those on computers and tablets, the App Install button is designed specifically for mobile devices. For those using a computer, laptop, or tablet, we recommend using the Member Login Link to access all their App features instead.
You can find this link under Communicate > Website Integration, section 1. Copy the Member Login Link (App) and send it to them by email. Encourage them to save or bookmark the link in their browser for easy access any time they need it.
Here are a few questions that you likely have or will have as you share this link.
- Why are there different links for staff and members? You’ll find a detailed explanation of our 9 levels of security in this article. These levels are designed to give each person access to exactly what they need—no more, no less. The staff login is for the top five levels: Coach, Admin Assistant, Staff, Group Admin, and Financial Admin. The Member login allows members to conveniently use the App on computers and tablets.
- Who can login with the member link? The Member App is designed to give guests, members, leaders, and volunteers easy access to what they need, right at their fingertips. They use the same email and password to login to the Member App, Online Giving, and from the Member Login Link. Staff and those with higher-level permissions are welcome to use the Member App on their phones, but for computers or tablets, we recommend logging in through the staff link for the best experience.
- What do guests, members, volunteers and group leaders need to know about this link? Let them know that the App was designed specifically with them in mind for mobile use on their phone. Through it they can update, communicate, respond, and access what they need. This link just allows them to do the same thing on other devices and should be saved as a bookmark or favorite on their browser.
At the end of the day, it’s all about making things easier for your people to get connected—no matter what device they choose. When logins are simple and access is clear, you remove frustration and give members, leaders, and guests one less hurdle to being part of the church family.
As you help your people log in and stay engaged, you’re building a stronger, more welcoming community—right from their phones, tablets, or computers. That’s a win for everyone.
