Churchteams has so many solutions for common church problems that it's hard for us to keep them in front of people.  We've recently done some upgrades to nine of these, so I'll use the opportunity to give you some extra insight into two of them.  Below that is a list and then an explanation of each upgrade.

Problem:  Registration and check-in don't work together.  We solved this by building best-in-class level features for both.  They are not modular in design, so there is no exchange of information between the systems.  They are completely integrated.  However, check-in for events is different than weekly check-in.  Churches requested the ability to pre-print name tags to help with relationship building and minimize check-in.  We released that feature in 2022.  Upgrade #1 takes that functionality to an even more convenient level!  

Problem:  We want to use check-in for our school or pre-school.  From the very beginning our check-in system had the ability to do daily check-ins including capturing attendance.  The tricky part a couple of years after the launch was creating new options to report attendance daily rather than weekly.  We added that a few years ago.  Upgrade #7 below adds the weekday name to the report. Pretty nice!

1.  Pre-Printed labels can be sorted by group.

People ask all the time how to pre-print labels for an event or group.  Click here to see the details on that.  We just updated this feature with an option to print security tags (kids) or name tags by class or group instead of by family.  This allows family members to get their preprinted tags in the classrooms that they are attending.  Child security with parent matching tags are picked up in the child's room. 
 

 

2.  Quickly remove volunteer team member from all future schedules

If a member lets you know that they need to be removed from serving, but they are already scheduled, you no longer have to go into each schedule and remove them.  Instead, go to their member profile page, click View All by the Volunteer Schedule and select the new button to remove them.  This will save you a TON of time!
 
 

 

3.  Export contributions includes summary by designation/fund

The Contribution Summary Chart gives you a lot of options to view giving comparisons.  There is also an Export Contributions option that allows you open that data in Excel or other Business Intelligence tools.  We just added the option to summarize by different designations or funds.  
 

 

 
4. Donor covered processing fees on online deposit reconciliation report
 
A few churches have asked us to add the amount of donor covered process fees to the online giving deposit reconciliation report for quick reference.  It shows up for each daily batch as well as the total.
 
 
 
5.  Refresh option on Check-in screen allows new families to be seen at other stations
 
If a new family checks in a child at one station and needs to check-in another child at a different station, click the refresh button (bottom right) to upload the family data so that it will be accessible at the other location.
 
 

 

6. Coaches allowed access to Text-to-Chat

Coach level security is for those on your team, often volunteers, who need to manage a set of groups that they oversee.  It is a higher level than leaders, but lower than staff.  In response to one request, we added this level as an option to see and respond to incoming Chat responses from Text-to-Church.  Communicate > Text > Settings.

 
7.  Daily attendance report for preschools and more  
 
This isn't well known, but we have churches that use Churchteams to track payments and attendance for weekday schools and preschools.  This tweak simply added the day of the week in the attendance header column.  
 
 
8.  Add and Remove in Group reports now include roster syncing

Roster syncing allows different groups to mirror each other.  Add or remove someone from one group and the same happens to their presence in the other group.  This upgrade expanded this capability to include Group Report options to "Add people to Group" and "Remove people from Group."  If the group you are adding people to or removing people from is synced to one or more groups, you will see the following options.

 

 

9.  You can now only delete inactive groups

In order to limit deleting of groups accidentally, we removed the option to do that for Active Groups.  To delete a group, you must make it inactive from the Browse Groups page.  When you select the option to see inactive groups, you will have the options to delete groups.  This Knowledge Base Article has more details.
