If it weren't for Covid 19, our staff and many of you would be looking forward to being together in North Fort Worth next week. Barbecue and Tex-Mex were on the menu along with 2 days of fellowship and learning.
Relationships are a big deal for us. That's obviously true since we build software around relationship management. But, it's also true in how we meet, train and support churches. We love hanging out with you guys!
A number of years ago we started getting questions about User's Gatherings. We decided to try one in April, 2018 and had about 25 friends join us for a really encouraging half day together. Everyone wanted to do it again, but longer. The Facebook Churchteams closed group was birthed from this event.

How our Small Group Software became a full Church Management System
20 years ago I was at a place in ministry where I wanted out. It was not what I expected it to be when I started working for a church full time 9 years earlier. Maybe you've been there. If so you likely know that hardship like this is often the path God uses to mature us and refine our calling.
Great news, Churchteams friends and fans. WFX magazine recognized Text-to-ME with a New Product of The Year Award for 2018! Some of you may recall that we won the same recognition last year for Text-to-Check-in. It was announced at the WFX Conference and Expo in Orlando recently. Here is their announcement of the winners.

User Gathering Best Practices: How to Use Growthfinder for Values & Curriculum

A few weeks ago one of our clients was having an issue with a company that was purchased a couple of years ago by a private equity firm. He contacted me to see if we might have an idea about what was going on. When I emailed the company to learn more, I discovered that they were training new frontline support staff. They had hired young people with a great heart who did not yet have the experience our client expected and needed.

For years I've done webinars to show prospects and clients together how to get the most out of the different features of the software. At first, this was fine because the feature set was small groups and then membership. As we added features, I added webinars (virtual classes) for contributions, check-in, volunteers & events, and setup & help. For about a year I've had a feeling that we could do better. With input from clients and staff, we just changed our learning process to three stages: Get Acquainted, Get Going, and Get Trained.
