New!  The best way to collect attendance from all your worship services

A few months ago, I wrote an article on how to use All Check to capture worship attendance.  Having everyone in the family check in to everything at once including worship is really helpful.  That article answers the questions: why take individual attendance, how to do it, and how to motivate people to respond.  Check it out if you're interested.

Another one of our creative churches uses their digital connection card to take individual worship attendance for their multiple services.  On their connection card they have a "Service I'm attending" dropdown question with all their services listed including online.

This dropdown is a Registration Field which is set up to auto-register anyone who picks a specific service into the group associated with that service.  We did a recent upgrade for them so that when the person is auto-registered into that service group, their attendance in that service on that day is automatically counted.

If you are interested in doing something similar, follow these steps:

  1. Create a group for each of your services including online ones.
  2. In step 1 be sure to check the radial that this group is for "Adult Worship / Youth Attendance."
  3. In step 3 be sure to answer the profile questions the same way for ease of reporting.
  4. Create a "Connection Card" group.
  5. To the form fields on the bottom of the registration settings page, add a "Service I'm attending" custom registration field.  Be sure to set up each response to auto-register to the correct group.
  6. Add the keyword you want people to text to get the link to register.

Now, all you have to do is create the communication content: a slide for the screen, an ad for your bulletin, and script for an announcement.  If you want to use a QR code you can do that too.

If you're tracking with me closely, you notice I'm sharing a couple of options for taking worship attendance.  The really great thing about Churchteams is that you can use both All Check and a Digital Connection Card at the same time.  If a person or family registers more than once, no harm done.  The software is smart enough to only count them once.
